
Overview
Through our Automatic Pay Plan (APP), we automatically deduct your energy charges each month from your
checking or savings account.
How It Works
When you enroll, you authorize a monthly payment deduction from your checking
or savings account. You continue to receive a monthly statement that
shows your energy usage, monthly comparisons and gives other helpful information.
Your bill stub reminds you that you are in APP and not to make a payment or return your stub. It shows the
amount withdrawn from your bank account and transaction date.
You simply deduct the current charges listed on your bill statement from
your checking or savings account register.
Should
you need to cancel your APP withdrawal, contact us at least
7-10 business days before your payment is scheduled to be taken out of
your bank account.
Enroll
Using your We Energies' account number and bank information, enroll one of two ways:
Online. The fastest, most convenient way to enroll is to use our safe and confidential third-party vendor (directpaymentplan.com). Applications are usually processed within 3-5 days.
U.S. Mail. To enroll through the mail, print, complete, and mail the enrollment form to our safe and confidential third-party Direct Payment vendor. Applications are usually processed within 6-8 weeks. Download mail-in form
Note: Please continue to pay your monthly bill as normal until the "DATE DUE" section of your bill has changed to "WITHDRAWAL DATE."
Change Banking Information
If you change banks or change to a new account at your bank, send in a new enrollment form. It will replace your current banking information.

Paper-Free Billing
APP not only eliminates late bill payments and check writing but also eliminates your need for paper bills. After you enroll in APP, you can switch to paper-free billing by enrolling in My Account.
After enrolling, you receive a monthly e-mail reminder so you know when your payments will be automatically deducted. With My Account, you can access monthly energy use, bill history and personalized money-saving tips to help control energy costs. With all your energy information available online, going paper-free is easy.
Enroll in My Account, and paper-free billing begins after you make two consecutive electronic payments.
